Unity Diner

Unity Diner, one of London’s most beloved vegan restaurants, stunned the public when it announced its closure on 30th December 2024 due to financial struggles. The news broke hearts across the plant-based community, but just three months later—on 30th March 2025—Unity Diner triumphantly returned, stronger than ever, to continue its mission of sustainable dining and compassionate living.

Sunday carvery: Delicious main course with sides & sauce

Unity Diner’s 100% vegan Sunday carvery is a feast worth celebrating. Priced at just £21.99 per person—and with kids paying half—it’s an unbeatable experience for families, foodies, and eco-conscious diners alike.

Diners can choose from a variety of delicious plant-based centrepieces, including a juicy roast “chicken”, tender braised “beef”, rich and savoury roast “lamb”, a golden, flaky mushroom Wellington, or a classic, wholesome nut roast. Each option is carefully crafted to offer all the flavour and indulgence of a traditional roast—without the cruelty.

The main dish is beautifully complemented by a generous selection of sides, served buffet-style so guests can help themselves to their favourites. Expect creamy leek gratin, sweet roasted carrots and parsnips, vibrant Brussels sprouts, buttery cabbage and peas, and an irresistible cauliflower cheese. Traditional accompaniments like herby stuffing, crisp vegan crackling, and golden roast potatoes make the experience even more indulgent. And of course, no roast would be complete without a fluffy Yorkshire pudding. To bring everything together, a range of sauces is available, including rich gravy, mint sauce, tangy horseradish, and sweet cranberry.

Extra highlight

Welcome to Mooli & Bacon: tender braised mooli (that’s daikon, if you’re wondering) wrapped in smoky vegan bacon, served with garlicky greens and buttery Jersey Royals. It’s wholesome, hearty, and bursting with bold, plant-based flavour.

Compassion beyond the plate

Unity Diner is not just about food. Co-founded by animal rights advocate Earthling Ed, the restaurant helps fund Surge Sanctuary, a safe haven for rescued farm animals. Every meal supports their ongoing work to create a kinder world.

Unity Diner’s comeback proves that sustainable vegan food isn’t just a trend—it’s a movement. With heartwarming dishes and a powerful cause, they’re back to lead the way in compassionate dining.
